L. Arthur Hewitt
Description Dr. Hewitt was named our Chief Scientific Officer in January 2010 after serving as our Vice President, Drug Development since May 2004. Prior to that he served as an independent contractor from January 2003 to May 2004, as Director of Scientific Affairs at Shearwater Corporation, a drug delivery company, from October 2002 until January 2003 and as Director of Scientific Affairs for Amgen Canada from July 1991 until November 2000. During his years at Amgen, Dr. Hewitt oversaw the approval of Neupogen, Stemgen and Infergen. Dr. Hewitt obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Medical School at the University of Montreal.
