H. Furlong Baldwin
Description H. Furlong Baldwin was elected non-executive Chairman of NASDAQ OMX?s board of directors effective May 12, 2003 and has been a member of NASDAQ OMX?s board of directors since July 2000. Mr. Baldwin also served as a member of FINRA?s board of governors from 1999 until 2003. Mr. Baldwin served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Mercantile Bankshares Corporation, a multi-bank holding company, from April 1976 until March 2001. Mr. Baldwin retired as Chairman and member of the Mercantile board of directors in March 2003. Mr. Baldwin joined Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company in 1956 and was elected President of Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company and Mercantile Bankshares Corporation in 1970, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1976.
