D. Steven Degenfelder
Description Mr. Degenfelder has been with the company since February 1998 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Exploration and New Ventures. Mr. Degenfelder began his career in the oil and gas business as a roustabout in the oil fields of southeast New Mexico. After graduating from college, he held various land management positions with Marathon Oil Company, Paintbrush Petroleum Corporation and Tyrex Oil Company. Mr. Degenfelder served as Deputy Director of the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments from 1995 to 1997. He is an elected member of the Natrona County School Board and serves as Chairman. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming and the Natrona County Library Foundation. He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and is a member and past President of the Wyoming Association of Professional Landmen. Mr. Degenfelder is a Certified Professional Landman and received his degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1979.
