C. Michael Kojaian
Description C. Michael Kojaian, 48, has served as a director of the Company since December 1996. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company from June 2002 until December 7, 2007 and has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company since January 6, 2009. He has been the President of Kojaian Ventures, L.L.C. and also Executive Vice President, a director and a shareholder of Kojaian Management Corporation, both of which are investment firms headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, since 2000 and 1985, respectively. He is also a director of Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. Mr. Kojaian has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grubb & Ellis Realty Advisors, Inc., an affiliate of the Company, from its inception in September 2005 until April 2008, and as its Chief Executive Officer from December 13, 2007 until April 2008.
