Acurity Health Group Limited, together with its subsidiaries, provides private surgical healthcare services in the lower North Island of New Zealand. It owns and operates 3 private surgical hospitals, including Wakefield Hospital and Bowen Hospital in Wellington, as well as Royston Hospital in Hastings. The company’s hospitals provide a range of surgical services, including cosmetic surgery, hip and knee replacement, hernia surgery, ear/nose/throat (ENT) surgery, and cardiovascular surgery, including bypass surgery; and diagnostic services consisting of cardiology and endoscopy. It also holds a 60% interest in the Grace Hospital in Tauranga; and a 30% interest in Endoscopy Auckland Limited and Laparoscopy Auckland Limited. The company was formerly known as Wakefield Health Limited and changed its name to Acurity Health Group Limited in August 2012. Acurity Health Group Limited was incorporated in 1988 and is based in Wellington, New Zealand.
